We live in a decent sized house, it’s rented so we can’t do anything to it and the 3rd bedroom is extremely small. Until recently it was Simons office, he’s now relocated into a small space in our bedroom with all the other gubins from the room still to be sorted and taking refuse on the landing I thought it would be a really hard room to do, Grayson’s always had quite big rooms which offered more room for storage BUT i never really got them to look how i wanted them to look. As much as i love Graysons current room (which i’ll post about shortly as i want to re-do it soon) the smaller room has been easier to style.
I love interior design, i wish i had endless money as most of it would go on the house! but i don’t so most of the time i make do with what we have, infact most of out furniture is ‘make do’ furniture, we are slowly replacing things with pieces we actually love. I do love a variety of styles but my current fave is a mostly white look with nice bright objects bringing it to life.
Here’s an instagram video tour of the babies room so far. I’m so pleased with it, i love love love the bright green ikea cot and bold black and white rugs. I’ve tried to incorperate handmade things in there too. I have made the plush houses and embroidery rings. There is artwork with two lovely people deb and Andy and little plush mushrooms by my work friend Alison
As i’ve mentioned, by the end of this year i want to have re-done Grayson’s room as he’s currently using his cot bed and mattress and using storage furniture i’ve had for years. I’m going to create a wish list post soon for this
